If you have lost your pet, call (309) 558-DOGS (3647) or visit our shelter seven (7) days a week during our viewing hours to see if your pet has been brought in to our shelter. You can visit the shelter as often as you wish but should stop in at least every couple of days.
Place lost ads in the newspaper, inform neighbors, check often. But, the most important thing to do is to prevent your pet from becoming lost. Keep your cats indoors at all times with a safety collar and ID tags and keep dogs on a leash when not inside the home, also properly identified. Tattooing and microchips are also methods to help ensure your pet's safe return home.
