Deere RunGolf has evolved from a sport played by few to an activity enjoyed by millions. Rock Island County accommodates the increasing popularity of golf for players of all levels, from beginners to professionals. Six public courses and three private courses provide a wide range of difficulty, scenery, and cost. The TPC at Deere Run is one of 23 Tournament Players Clubs in the country, and is home to the John Deere Classic, a nationally televised PGA Tour event. (Photo courtesy of The PGA Tour.)

Indian Bluff Forest PreserveIndian Bluff Forest Preserve, owned by Rock Island County, contains 188 acres lying atop a low bluff overlooking the Rock River Valley just south of the Quad City Airport. The main feature of the forest preserve is its majestic 18-hole irrigated golf course carved into the hilly terrain. Golfing supplies, refreshments, and rental carts are available at the pro shop and clubhouse. Other features include a picnic shelter (which may be reserved), picnic areas, game areas, and playground equipment.
