In support of Rock Island County's policies, principles, values, vision, and mission, it is the Human Resource's goal to assist with the operational goals of Rock Island County through it's most valuable asset ~ our employees and the future employees of Rock Island County.

It is the mission of the Human Resources department to provide the following quality services to all departments of Rock Island County and to all employees and applicants of Rock Island County, by:

• recruitment of qualified individuals;
• retention of valuable employees;
• training, development and education to promote individual success and increase overall value to the organization;
• providing and promoting a safe and healthy working environment;
• inspiring and encouraging a high level of employee morale through recognition and effective communication;
• providing resources for administering benefits, policies and procedures.

These services will be provided from our staff in the Human Resources department through the ability to work as a strong and organized team in an effort to build strong, effective, and long lasting relationships with the leaders and the employees of Rock Island County.
